A helpful mnemonic device from Comedy Bang Bang ep. 150.

slantedandenchanted:

K = Kid; he’s a kid
N = Naughty; he’s a naughty kid
I = I am the person who will grab the knife
F = Friend; he’s not our friend
E = Education (or, Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge)
G = Gadzooks! I’m terrified of this little child who is going to stab me with the knife!
R = Really? Don’t you think it’s time you grabbed the knife?
A = A shame it would be, should the boy grab the knife first, then stab us!
B = Boy

If you haven’t listened to Comedy Bang Bang, I highly recommend it!

This is the goat tower, in south africa. I must go here someday. They have a restaurant called The Goatshed restaurant, and a tasting room with a wine called “the goatfather”, which I posted yesterday. omg.

The Goat Tower is a fabled part of internet history when in 2009, many /fit/ posters chose being a goat and getting to go in the tower over a blowjob from the girl of their dreams.

Sometimes it takes more than willpower, a strong cup of coffee, and nagging plot bunnies to get you to finish that novel you’re working on.

Cory Arcangel—computer programmer, composer, and artist—has compiled a collection of hilarious tweets from various aspiring writers facing the crazy ride that is writing a novel.

What does it feel like to try and create something new? How is it possible to find a space for the demands of writing a novel in a world of instant communication?

Working on My Novel is about the act of creation and the gap between the different ways we express ourselves today. Exploring the extremes of making art, from satisfaction and even euphoria to those days or nights when nothing will come, it’s the story of what it means to be a creative person, and why we keep on trying.

The Litographs Tattoos Kickstarter campaign has taken a novel (GET IT?) approach to encouraging contributions: The first 2,500 backers will also reserve their place in the world’s longest (temporary) tattoo chain.

Litographs has broken up Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland into 2,500 temporary tats. Once they hit their goal, they’ll send the ink out for backers to apply, photograph and upload to their website. “Our goal,” they say, “is to recreate this iconic novel by showcasing every single word on the skin of 2,500 Kickstarter backers.” Which, OK, sounds a little gross — but I’m intrigued!

Even though it is highly unlikely I’ll receive the section that includes “we’re all mad here” I’m still donating because book quote tattoos!

Love this idea!
